Dr. Margaret E. Seymour Flood, M.D., M.B.A., is a highly skilled and compassionate physician specializing in wound care throughout the Jacksonville area. With a background in trauma surgery and extensive experience in emergency medicine, Dr. Flood is uniquely equipped to handle a wide range of complex wound care needs. Currently, she attends to patients at hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and rehab centers all over the Jacksonville metro area. Her work is focused on improving quality of life and providing attentive, personalized care for each patient.

Dr. Flood’s educational journey began with a dual Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Environmental Health from the University of Georgia, followed by her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. She furthered her expertise with a General Surgery Residency at the University of South Carolina, gaining hands-on experience in critical care, trauma, and specialized surgeries. Additionally, Dr. Flood holds an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management, equipping her with a well-rounded approach to patient care and clinical operations.

Dr. Flood’s commitment to her patients and profession is evident in her years of experience with Accelecare Wound Professionals and Healogics, where she trained under Dr. William J. Ennis at the University of Illinois Chicago, a leading authority in wound healing and tissue repair. As a former board member for Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital, she continues to bring her clinical and administrative knowledge to her practice, ensuring that every aspect of care is both efficient and compassionate.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Flood has also dedicated time to charitable missions, including medical outreach with the Carolina Honduras Health Foundation and her involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. With her warm, patient-focused approach and her extensive training, Dr. Flood is a trusted provider for wound care, known for her dedication to helping each patient heal and return to their best quality of life.
